LECCE –He wanted to tie them up, torture them, and then kill them. According to the reconstruction of the investigators, that was the plan of Antonio De Marco, the 21-year-old from Casarano, a nursing science student who, during the night, confessed to killing Daniele De Santis and Eleonora Manta. New details emerge from the investigations that led to the tipping point of the murder.

Lecce, caught Daniele and Eleonora’s killer: confessed at night. I wanted to torture them

The alleged killer who until August had lived in the Via Montello house that Daniele rented to the students had five tickets with him. In one he had noticed the torture he wanted to inflict on the two engaged couples. However, something in his plan did not work. And after getting enraged at the two boys with more than 60 stab wounds, he ran away losing some of the grades he had with him. De Marco, after having tortured the boys, wanted to leave a writing on the wall and in his backpack he had also brought solvents with which he would have had to erase all traces of his passage and the crime. When yesterday the student was arrested in the ward of the Vito Fazzi hospital where he was doing an internship, he laughed, say his fellow students who describe him as a decent boy, who never aroused suspicion.

The motive is still dark, although it is not ruled out that an unrequited infatuation may be at the base of the double murder.
