“Yesterday in the late afternoon a mega fight broke out, all against all, at the Coop de Crema, in the Gran Rondò shopping center. The video we receive from the workers is scary ”. Francesco Iacovone, from the national Cobas, denounces it. Cremonese newspapers trace the fight to the refusal of two men to wear the anti Covid 19 mask. In the video, filmed on social media, the two men are seen throwing grocery baskets and beating people who try to block them. Then a police patrol intervened to block them.

Two customers, of foreign origin, who entered the store without wearing a mask would have triggered the fight. At the call of one of the supervisors, the two would have reacted very violently, as can also be seen in a video posted on social networks, throwing baskets and starting to run to avoid being blocked. One of the two returned a few minutes later with a car jack hidden in his clothes to hit the security guard, but was stopped by the police who had arrived in the meantime.

“But this is what happens in commercial places every day and millions of workers are still exposed to the risk of contagion and the possibility of aggression on the part of the deniers of the pandemic. There is no more time – continues Iacovone -: reports of the workers “. they have a daily frequency and the risk of contagion, added to that of aggression, must be contained by the institutions of this country ”. “The rhetoric of the heroes, those of the front line during the confinement, is not necessary to work in peace – continues the union representative – instead, quotas are needed at the entrances, masks and strict controls. In addition to the crisis of health, we are facing a real public order problem that must be dealt with energetically by the Government, through the competent Ministers and Prefects ”, concludes Iacovone.
