THE REGIONAL SITUATION, TODAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2020 – Today they register 122 new positive cases (yesterday there were 99), of which 62 asymptomatic, regional contact detection and tracing activities. There are 22 new infections related to returns from abroad, for which the Region has provided two nasopharyngeal swabs during fiduciary isolation if they arrive from non-Schengen countries and one swab if they return from Greece, Spain, Croatia and Malta. The number of cases of return from other regions is 4. Of 62 new asymptomatic patients, 30 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 26 through tests for the risk categories introduced by the Region, 4 thanks to pre-hospital screening, 1 identified by serological test and one of which the scope of diagnosis is not yet known.
Regarding the situation in the territory, the highest number of cases is registered in the provinces of Parma (27), Bologna (38), Piacenza (16), Reggio Emilia (14), Modena (10).
A Parma and province there are 27 new positives: 16 detected as part of contact tracing activities, 4 detected due to the presence of symptoms, 2 returning from abroad (one from Brazil, the other from Morocco), 1 returning from Sardinia, 2 registered as part of tests for professional categories and 2 for tests performed in prehospital. TO BolognaOf 26 new positives, 17 refer to known outbreaks of family origin or frequency in public places, 9 are sporadic cases. Of the 26, 4 swabs due to a professional category at risk, 5 were identified by contact tracing, 4 returned from abroad (one from Moldova, one from Romania and one from Spain), 1 from other regions (Tuscany). In Imola District, of 12 new positives, 8 are attributable to known family outbreaks and 4 are sporadic cases.
In the province of Piacenza, there are 16 new positives: 8 refer to returns from abroad (5 from Romania, 1 from Albania, 1 from Egypt and 1 from Morocco), 2 after checks of foreign citizens requesting asylum, 1 for contact with the pre-existing outbreak , 3 for ER access swabs, 1 for symptoms, 1 for workplace screening. In the province of Reggio emilia of 14 new cases, all in home isolation, 5 are sporadic, 6 attributable to family outbreaks, 2 swabs because they are a professional category at risk, and 1 return from abroad (Moldova). In Modenese, of every 10 new positives, 1 returns from abroad (India), 7 are contacts of known cases, 2 are sporadic cases
DEATH – There is a death in Ferrara.
ACTIVE CASES – Active cases, that is, the number of actual patients, a today there are 4,651 (+ 24 yesterday).
THE ADMISSIONS – There are 18 patients in intensive care (- 2) and 189 (- 3) hospitalized in the other Covid wards.
PEOPLE IN ISOLATION – People isolated at home, that is, those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are asymptomatic, add up to a total of 4,444 (+ 29 compared to yesterday).
THE HEALED – The total number of people cured reached 25,701 (+ 97 compared to yesterday).
