The Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces prepares and signs the proposal to reopen the facilities for sporting events. Lazio, Zingaretti open for Roma-Juve and Lazio-Inter. Infectious Disease Specialist Galli: “I would have waited”

The Regions have approved the proposal document to the Government with the guidelines for the reopening of the stadiums, up to a maximum of 25% of the capacity of the facility. This was announced by the vice-president of the Conference of Autonomous Regions and Provinces, Giovanni Toti: “Our proposal in summary foresees the participation of spectators with masks, who have measured the temperature at the entrance, exclusively in personally assigned seats, spaced and within the maximum limits of 25% of the system’s capacity. “Pending the government’s decision, the stadium opening regime continues for a maximum of 1,000 open-air spectators. Nicola Zingaretti, governor of Lazio, signed an order to such an effect for Roma-Juventus on September 27 and for Lazio-Inter on October 4.

Experts think differently about the stadiums reopening to the public. As Massimo Galli, specialist in infectious diseases at the Sacco hospital in Milan: “I follow football closely and I would like to return to the stadium tomorrow. But I think maybe for the next 2-3 weeks it would be okay to plan, but wait before you execute. If you concentrate 15 thousand people at the entrance and exit, even if you dilute them somewhere, they have to go. They must reach the stadium by public or private means. If it’s public transportation, maybe we can save this until we’re safer. So maybe tomorrow I will be denied a favorable trend throughout history, but the only certainty today is that we have a growing trend, not frankly alarming, but worthy of attention ”.
