Coronavirus in Sicily, another 125 new cases tripled positive and hospitalized in a month

Another 125 new cases of Covid 19 in Sicily and one death in the last 24 hours. This is the September 24th bulletin issued by the Ministry of Health on the state of the pandemic on our island. Substantially stable, but still growing, people hospitalized: today there are 237 (7 more than the last survey) while patients in intensive care are stable at 16. In the hospital there are, therefore, 253 people in any case four times more than exactly a month ago when there were 63. The number of deaths rises to 304. In Sicily since the beginning of the epidemic there are 6359 cases of coronavirus, currently there are 2208 people in home isolation and 3594 recovered (75 in the last 24 hours) . The total number of positive people is currently 2461 people (exactly a month ago it was 947). In the last 24 hours, the swabs were 5159.

Of the new cases, 56 were registered in Palermo, 31 in Catania, 3 in Syracuse, 6 in Messina, 2 in Enna, 17 in Trapani, 5 in Agrigento, 5 in Caltanissetta, zero in Ragusa. Only two positive migrants tested in the Lampedusa hotspot.

In Italy, the total number of new cases in the last 24 hours has been 1786 with 23 deaths.
