Positive coronavirus patients in Italy continue to increase. According to data released by the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours there was an increase of 1,786 cases (+146 compared to yesterday) over a new record of swabs made: 108,019. The total number of infected people, including victims and those cured, amounts to 304,323. The increase in victims is also increasing: from 20 yesterday to 23 today for a total of 35,781. In no region are there zero cases.
There have been ten deaths from coronavirus in Lombardy in the last 24 hours for a total of 16,935 deaths. Based on data from the region, there were 229 new positive cases compared to 21,369 swabs performed (grand total: 2,012,281). Of the 229 new cases, 32 “are weakly positive” and 11 after serological tests. There are 31 patients in intensive care (-2 compared to yesterday) while there are 303 hospitalized patients (-5).
