Illegal hacking sites closed – The Guardia di Finanza has completed a maxi-operation called “Evil Web”, against audiovisual and editorial piracy and the illegal IPTV system.
The Economic-Financial Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza de Gorizia has kidnapped 58 websites, 150 new alias domains and 18 Telegram channels with more than 80 million accesses per year representing approx. 90% audiovisual piracy and publisher in Italy.
Among the sites covered by the provision there are also “Traffic analysis and for the disseminated content it has been cataloged as a national benchmark for the dissemination of guides, software and computer methodologies that can be used to obtain (on different platforms) access to multimedia content protected by copyright laws.
The investigations, the result of the investigations carried out against a person with the nickname “Diabolik”, they started from Friuli Venezia Giulia and have also spread to Puglia, in Emilia romagna and abroad, in Germany, Holland and the United States.
Attention was focused so much on the world of audiovisual and editorial piracy, both on the illegal IPTV system, allowing the identification and reporting of 4 computer scientists who operate on the web behind fictitious nicknames (Diabolik, Doc, SpongeBob and Webflix) that over time have become true oracles of the network dedicated to the dissemination – even with the help of instant messaging and broadcasting services – of innumerable illegal multimedia contents (first-run movies, audiovisual products prerogative of pay television, sporting events of all kinds, cartoons, pornography, software, newspapers, magazines , manuals, etc.).
Furthermore, in relation to Illegal IPTV, activities are being carried out to identify the approximately one thousand subscribers of the “pezzotto” – also from abroad – who you will be sued for violating copyright law (with penalties of up to 3 years in prison and a fine of more than 25,000 euros) and may also incur the crime of receiving stolen goods.
