The Civil Protection has issued yellow weather alert for tomorrow, Tuesday September 22 in six Italian regions due to the bad weather arriving. This is what we read in the notice posted on the official website. Here is the full list of the regions affected by the provision and the areas most exposed to possible floods and landslides due to persistent rains:
- Lazio: Aniene, southern coastal basins, Liri basin, northern coastal basins, Middle Tevere basin, Rieti Apennines, Roma basins;
- Lombardy: Lower Western Plain, Lario and Western Pre-Alps, Bergamo Orobie, Varesine Lakes and Pre-Alps, Valchiavenna, Eastern Lakes and Prealps, Hydraulic Union of Milan, Central Plain, Eastern Upper Plain, Eastern Lower Plain, Pavia Apennines;
- Tuscany: Ombrone Gr-Alto, Ombrone Gr-Medio, Valdichiana, Etruria, Fiora and Albegna;
- Umbria: Trasimeno – Nestore, Chiani – Paglia, Chiascio – Topino, Nera – Corno, Alto Tevere, Medio Tevere;
- Veneto: Livenza, Lemene and Tagliamento, Bajo Piave, Sile and drainage basin in the lagoon, Bajo Brenta-Bacchiglione and Fratta Gorzone, Po, Fissero-Tartaro-Canalbianco and Bajo Adige;
- Friuli Venezia Giulia: Basin of Isonzo and Plain of Udine and Gorizia.
The weather forecast for tomorrow, Tuesday, September 22
After an already rainy Monday in most of the Peninsula, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 22, the weather conditions will suffer more deterioration due to the arrival of an Atlantic disturbance, for which showers and thunderstorms are also expected in Liguria, Piedmont me Trentino Alto Adige, as well as in the areas already affected by the meteorological alert. As the hours pass, heavy rains will also reach Emilia Romagna and, to descend, Tuscany and Lazio, with possible rains also in Rome.
