After yesterday’s 1,638, the contagion curve falls again significantly, which remains substantially stable: according to bulletin on Sunday, September 20, published by the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours there were 1,587 new cases compared to 15 deaths and 635 recovered from 83,428 swabs analyzed. The positives currently amount to 44,098, but the vast majority are asymptomatic and in home isolation (41,511). After so many weeks of steady increase, the number of hospitals is falling: hospitalized patients with symptoms are -15 (2,365 in total), while those in intensive care are +7 (222). As for individual regions, it is alarm in Sicily where of 116 new cases 66 are attributable to the structures of the “Biagio Conte” community of Palermo: therefore, it is homeless and foreigners, which represent more than 50% of the infections in the Sicilian territory. On the other hand, no region has registered the much coveted zero contagion: Lombardy leads with 221 cases, followed by Veneto (173), Campania (171), Lazio (165), Tuscany (147) and Emilia Romagna (115).
