After yesterday’s rebound, with 1,907 infections, new cases of Covid in Italy are declining again: today there are 1,638, also with 103,223 swabs (yesterday they were just under 100,000). The region with the most cases is Lombardy (243), followed by Lazio (197), Veneto (186) and Campania (149). The Aosta Valley has zero cases, while Abruzzo also reports zero, which nevertheless communicates that it will not be possible to process the data today and tomorrow, so the accumulated will be on Monday (yesterday it had registered 54 infections). The total number of cases since the beginning of the epidemic amounts to 296,569, while with today’s increase, deaths reach 35,692.
The number of patients is constantly growing, 909 today (yesterday 853) for a total of 217,716. This is also the reason why the growth in the number of positive slowdowns is currently +704 today compared to 1,044 yesterday, and there are 43,161 in total.
On the hospitalization front, after days there is a decrease in the ordinary, 7 less, 2,380 in total, while intensive therapies rise again after yesterday’s decrease and are 7 more, 215 in total. There are 40,566 people in home isolation, 704 more than yesterday.
