The villa in Cogne will be executed. The Aosta court agreed with the former lawyer of Annamaria Franzoni, Carlo Taormina, and rejected the requests for suspension of the real estate foreclosure, advanced by Franzoni and her husband Stefano Lorenzi. The measure was triggered after the non-payment to Taromina, by his client, of the fees owed by the defense in the trial for the murder of little Samuele Lorenzi, murdered in that same house in 2002. Franzoni, who has already finished Para Serving his 16-year sentence, he owes his former lawyer more than 275,000, which became about 450,000 in the deed of embargo.
For Franzoni and Lorenzi, who now live far from Montroz, in the hills of Bolognese, the village could not have been foreclosed because it is part of an endowment fund, established in May 2009. However, for the judge called to fail on the matter, it is not so. The possibility of selling the property will be discussed before October 30. The house, reproduced in a model used on television, has become sadly known for having been the scene of the murder of little Samuele Lorenzi, two years old, second son of Annamaria and Stefano. The minor was shot to death with a heavy object on the marriage bed of her home on the morning of January 30, 2002. The only suspect, from the first moment, was Franzoni, who was sentenced at the end of a trial that woke up enormous public interest.
Since 2019 Annamaria Franzoni is a free woman. After the death of little Samuele she had another son, Gioele Lorenzi, brother of the firstborn Davide.
