Toti: “Situation under control”
The situation is under control. The procedures to increase the number of beds have not yet started because there is no need ”, explained the president of the Liguria Region, Giovanni Toti during a direct Facebook to take stock of the coronavirus. “We work regularly and I thank the Sarzana hospital that is at the forefront of the effort and our Genoese centers of San Martino and Gaslini.”
According to the governor, the detection activities are effective: “In a context in which contagion is growing in all Italian regions, in Liguria it is growing proportionally. We are at the tampon record and this is the most positive figure of the day because it means that our prevention offices are tracking more and more and more effectively. We have no deaths and this gives us some assurance that the treatment protocols in our hospitals are increasingly effective.
These days, the attention is not only on La Spezia: “In the historic center of Genoa there are three areas where there is a circulation of covid that is 20% higher than the city average, however, nothing comparable to the district from Umbertino in La Spezia – Toti said – We have a 50% percentage of people from other countries who have contracted the virus, a less problematic scenario than in La Spezia, which we will continue to follow. The epidemic is growing in all regions. We have reached a record number of swabs: we are close to four thousand, a sign that our offices are tracking the contacts of the case. 157 people are hospitalized, increasing seven units compared to yesterday, growing in the San Martino polyclinic because some cases come from Asl 5 La Spezia and the Genoa quotient has increased somewhat. We have no deaths, a sign that treatments and therapies are increasingly effective. In ASL 5 we reached 917 subjects under active surveillance, yesterday was on eight hundred, a sign that we are doing a great check-up, “says the president of the Region.” We try to be prudent and use the rules of conduct that we have learned to know and in many to make the most of it, “concludes Toti.
Imperia, 114 ATMs out of 180 surrender
There are 114 of the 180 ATMs that the Municipality of Imperia is replacing because the exemptions arrived at the electoral office in these hours, mainly for fear of hiring Covid during the voting and counting operations. Most of these have already been replaced. Ten of the 47, on the other hand, are chairmen of already replaced seats. Although the case of Imperia, at the moment it is the most emblematic, the stampede of electoral personnel does not spare even the small towns of the province, many of which are in emergency and are trying to fill vacant positions. In San Lorenzo al Mare, for example, the administration headed by Mayor Paolo Tornatore had to replace the president of the only seat in its territory.
