In Tuscany, there are 13,522 cases of positivity for the coronavirus, 99 more than yesterday (43 identified in the course of the screening and 56 from the detection activities). New cases are 0.7% more than the total of the previous day. The average age of 99 cases today is approximately 44 years (22% are under 26, 21% between 26 and 40, 40% between 41 and 65, 17% are over 65) and, in terms of the clinical states, 64% were asymptomatic, 23% pauci-symptomatic.
Of the 99 positive cases today, 9 cases can be linked to returns from abroad. 1 case can be linked to returns from other Italian regions (Sardinia). 3 cases referred to citizens residing outside the region whose positivity was notified in Tuscany, of which 2 cases were identified thanks to the controls activated in ports and stations with ordinance n. 80 of the Tuscany Region. 40% of the cases are a contact linked to a previous case.
Those cured grew by 0.5% and reached 9,670 (71.5% of all cases). The swabs performed reached 660,245, 7,883 more than yesterday. The current positives are 2,700 today, + 1.9% compared to yesterday. There are 116 hospitalized (7 more than yesterday), of which 21 in intensive care (1 more). Today there are no new deaths.
These are the data – verified today at 12 noon on the basis of requests from the National Civil Protection and disseminated by the Tuscany Region – related to the progress of the epidemic in the region.
The new positives

Tuscany is confirmed in tenth place in Italy in terms of the number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with around 363 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (Italian average of 485 x 100,000, yesterday’s figure). The notification provinces with the highest rate are Massa Carrara with 744 cases x 100,000 inhabitants, Lucca with 433, Florence with 394, Livorno with 201, the lowest.
Isolation at home, shelters, cures.
In total, 2,584 people are isolated at home, since they present mild symptoms that do not require hospital care or do not present symptoms (43 more than yesterday, 1.7% more). There are 4,594 (170 more than yesterday, plus 3.8%) people, also isolated, under active surveillance, for having had contact with infected people (Asl Centro 1,655, Northwest 2,021, Southeast 918).
The people admitted to beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 116 (7 more than yesterday, plus 6.4%), 21 in intensive care (1 more than yesterday, plus 5%).
In total there are 9,670 people cured (49 more than yesterday, plus 0.5%): 221 clinically cured people (11 more than yesterday, plus 5.2%), who were asymptomatic after presenting associated clinical manifestations Infection and 9,449 ( 38 more than yesterday, plus 0.4%) declared cured in all aspects, the so-called viral cures, with double negative swab.

No new deaths
Today there are no new deaths. Therefore, there are 1,152 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic divided as follows: 418 in Florence, 53 in Prato, 81 in Pistoia, 177 in Massa Carrara, 148 in Lucca, 93 in Pisa, 65 in Livorno, 51 in Arezzo , 33 in Siena, 25 in Grosseto, 8 people died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
The Tuscan crude death rate (number of deaths / resident population) for Covid-19 is 30.9 x 100,000 residents versus 59.1 x 100,000 for the Italian average (11th region).
