The Department of Prevention, in consideration of the cases that have arisen in recent days in the provinces of Arezzo, Grosseto and Siena, has intensified its close contact tracing activity. This activity has highlighted, so far, 29 contacts for the Arezzo cases, eight contacts for the Grosseto cases, 13 contacts for the Siena cases that have already been immediately isolated.
At this time, 2,159 people from the Local Health Authority of Southeast Tuscany are already in home isolation, either because they are a known contact or because they come from other countries. There are eight hospitalized at the Hospital for Infectious Diseases at the Misericordia Hospital in Grosseto, eight at the Hospital for Infectious Diseases and three in Intensive Care at the Hospital San Donato in Arezzo.
The identification of the cases and the tracing of the contacts was possible by performing 2,243 swabs.
There is also the death of an 83-year-old woman with a clinical picture characterized by multiple pathologies and with a positive swab for Covid 19 hospitalized in the San Donato hospital in Arezzo and resident in the municipality of Bibbiena.
