Investigations into the death of Willy Monteiro Duarte, the boy murdered a little less than two weeks ago in Colleferro, continue: for a few days the accusation against the main suspects: the brothers Marco and Gabriele Bianchi, Mario Pincarelli and Francesco. Belleggia – went from intentional homicide to voluntary homicide, aggravated by futile reasons. The new accusation, made by the Velletri prosecutor, came after the first results of the autopsy, which revealed “non-random and delivered blows” on the boy’s body. Brothers Bianchi and Pincarelli are in prison in Rebibbia, while Belleggia has been placed under house arrest.

Willy Monteiro Duarte was 21 years old and was born in Rome into a Cape Verdean family: he died on the night of September 5-6, in Colleferro, near Rome, during transfer to hospital after a violent fight. Immediately after his death, four people were arrested, all boys between 22 and 26 years old living in Artena, the town where Monteiro Duarte worked. However, the circumstances in which the brawl took place are still unclear, also due to the contradictory testimony of the accused.

Meanwhile, newspapers reported that the four had received various charges, some for drug trafficking and others for injuries. Republic writes that the Bianchi brothers had already been accused and charged because in January 2018 they beat a 25-year-old from Lanuvio, in the province of Rome, also with a bronze fist. The last trial hearing had been postponed due to the coronavirus emergency. Also in May 2018, Marco Bianchi was arrested and released for hitting two people with a “blunt instrument”. Last February, however, Gabriele Bianchi was sentenced to a fine of one thousand euros for having been found “with a cutter with a retractable six-centimeter blade”, kept inside the glove compartment of his car.

Researchers rebuilding
According to the first reconstructions of that night, the whole story would revolve around the “Duedipicche” pub in Colleferro, where that night there was a group of local boys, including Monteiro Duarte, and a group of Artena boys, including the brothers . Bianchi, Belleggia and Pincarelli. Out of a fight between these two groups the brawl that led to the death of Monteiro Duarte was born. According to the investigators, who collected the testimonies of four people who were at the scene at the time of the murder, Belleggia and Pincarelli would have spent the entire evening in the pub, while the Bianchi brothers would have left the place shortly after, to get on a aboard his Audi Q7 with three girls and a friend.

Around 2.30 in the morning Belleggia and Pincarelli were outside the restaurant, and the latter would have addressed some thanks to a girl from Colleferro’s group of people, Azzurra. Azzurra’s boyfriend, Alessandro Rosati, would approach Pincarelli threateningly, but Belleggia would stop him, claiming that his friend was drunk and did not want to upset the girl.

Also witnessing the scene was Federico Zurma, a friend of Rosati, who would also intervene threateningly in defense of his friend’s girlfriend: before Zurma could hit him, Belleggia would have pushed him to the ground, and only at this point. Willy Monteiro Duarte would also step in to defuse the fight.

Around 3 in the morning, however, the two Bianchi brothers returned to the place, called by a friend of theirs who was there, Michele Cerquozzi, to support the group of boys from Artena.

The Bianchi brothers would then begin to beat two boys from the Colleferro group, among them Samuele Cenciarelli and Monteiro Duarte. While the former, however, was spared with few injuries, the latter was taken to hospital in serious condition and died. According to investigators, both Bianchi brothers kicked and hit Monteiro Duarte and, in particular, a kick to the head caused the most damage. It is not clear what role Pincarelli played, but according to investigators he was also involved in the beating.

Belleggia, on the other hand, would have had a more secluded position, and for this reason only house arrest was ordered for him. The presence of the Bianchi brothers, who said they were having sex with girls in a nearby cemetery at the time of the call, was confirmed by a photograph taken by a friend of Willy’s of the two’s car as they were leaving. the crime scene along with Pincarelli and Belleggia.

The version of the suspects
According to the newspapers, Gabriele Bianchi in his interrogation said that he saw a fight and addressed the crowd, but did not intervene, he reports. Republic. He then denied his participation and that of his brother, saying that only Francesco Belleggia would participate in the fight. Marco Bianchi, for his part, admitted that he pushed Monteiro Duarte, but did not “hit” him. The third suspect, Mario Pincarelli, argued instead that the Bianchi brothers would not have touched anyone and that he would only intervene to make peace between Belleggia and a child who was arguing.

The position of the two brothers Bianchi and Pincarelli, according to which the three had nothing to do with the beating of Monteiro Duarte, was contradicted by the fourth suspect, Francesco Belleggia, according to which the boy was beaten in particular by Marco Bianchi. and by Pincarelli.
