Florence, September 16, 2020 – In Tuscany there are 13,304 cases of positivity for Coronavirus, 90 more than yesterday (26 identified during follow-up and 64 from screening activities). New cases are 0.7% more than the total of the previous day. The average age of the 90 cases is currently around 38 years (29% are under 26, 20% between 26 and 40, 42% between 41 and 65, 9% are over 65) and, in Regarding the clinical states, 71% were asymptomatic, 23% pauci-symptomatic. People hospitalized in beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 108 (2 less than yesterday, less 1.8%), 20 in intensive care (3 more than yesterday, more 17.6%). In total there are 9,565 people cured (29 more than yesterday, plus 0.3%): 202 clinically cured people (1 more than yesterday, plus 0.5%), that is, they became asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with Infection and 9,363 ( 28 more than yesterday, plus 0.3%) declared cured in all aspects, the so-called viral cures, with double negative swab. Today there are no new deaths. Thus, 1,151 deaths remain since the beginning of the epidemic as follows: 418 in Florence, 53 in Prato, 81 in Pistoia, 177 in Massa Carrara, 148 in Lucca, 93 in Pisa, 65 in Livorno, 50 in Arezzo , 33 in Siena, 25 in Grosseto, 8 people died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region. The Tuscan crude death rate (number of deaths / resident population) for Covid-19 is 30.9 x 100,000 residents compared to 59.0 x 100,000 for the Italian average (11th region). Regarding the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (90.8 x 100,000), Florence (41.3 x 100,000) and Lucca (38.2 x 100,000), the lowest in Grosseto (11.3 x 100,000).
