(ANSA) – ANCONA, SEPTEMBER 16 – After the great fire last night in the old Tubimar warehouse in the port of Ancona, the Municipality has “closed as a precaution all schools of all levels, universities, parks and sports facilities to the open air, awaiting the analysis and indications of the health authorities, the ARPAM and the results of the inspections by the firefighters. ”The high and dense column of smoke is visible even from several kilometers away and there is an acrid smell in the city. “It is recommended – reiterates the Municipality – keep the windows closed and limit unnecessary travel.”

The fire was circumscribed by firefighters but there are still outbreaks within the area. Closing operations will continue throughout the day. The flames, which apparently caused no injuries, also caused explosions in the shed, felt even from afar, as well as a tall, dense plume of smoke that is now sinking and moving south. The smell of smoke is still quite strong in the city. (HANDLE).
