(ANSA) – WASHINGTON, SEPTEMBER 15 – The coronavirus vaccine could be ready in three to four weeks, US President Donald Trump said at a city hall in Philadelphia. If so, the vaccine would arrive before the US elections on November 3.

Trump has denied that he has downplayed the threat of the coronavirus, despite the audio of the interview with reporter Bob Woodward admitting otherwise. “My action was strong but I didn’t want to scare people,” he said. The US president has also continued to question the use of the mask, recommended by his own task force: “Some people think it is not useful.” It is the first time that the mogul has answered questions from voters: only 21 to comply with anti-covid restrictions.
