Apple, here is the new Watch Series 6. For the iPhone 12 we will have to wait

One thing is certain: we had hardly seen another high-tech event like the one hosted by streaming today by Apple. Without an audience due to the emergence of Covid, of course, but many special effects that have transformed the most anticipated autumn technological appointment into a complete TV and media program, with large cinematographic shots. A bit as if Apple wanted to show that, in addition to high-tech products, it now also perfectly understands video content (while still waiting for Apple TV + to show its true potential).

These are strange times, you know, and it is precisely in time that this event, titled “Time Flies”, is recorded and packaged directly by Cupertino. The CEO of the company, Tim Cook, immediately made one thing clear: “We know that life will not always be this way and we are looking forward to better days.” Translated: for the new iPhone 12 we will have to wait, perhaps in October. So in the meantime we talked about the new versions of Apple Watch and iPad, just as the rumors of the last days wanted (although we have not seen anything similar to the AirTags mentioned in the same rumors, which should be small traceable devices to associate with valuable items).

APPLE ONE
And also a novelty that will have made Jeff Bezos from Amazon jump to the chair: Apple one, a single subscription to all Apple services, from Apple Music to Apple TV + through Arcade and iCloud. There will be two different formulas: “Individual”, which includes Apple Music, Apple TV +, Apple Arcade and 50GB of iCloud storage, which will cost € 14.95 per month; “Family” including Apple Music, Apple TV +, Apple Arcade, and 200GB of iCloud storage for 19.95 per month (and can be shared with up to six people in the family). Then there is a “Premier” plan, which costs $ 29.95 per month, which however includes services, such as Apple News + and Apple Fitness + not available in Italy.

So here is the new Apple Watch Series 6, equipped with a sensor capable of measuring the level of oxygen in the blood in just 15 seconds. A function that accompanies the already known (and that have made a fortune as the best-selling smartwatch in the world) of heart rate monitor and electrocardiogram. In addition, of course, to all those fitness-oriented functions that help users during sports activity and in case of emergency. Also for the blood oxygen meter, if the levels fall below a certain threshold, the device will send a notification, just as it already happens with the heart rate.

APPLE CLOCK
An economic version was also presented, Apple Watch SE, the “special edition” formula that had already been used for iPhone. It has all the essential functions of the Apple Watch, except Ecg and Blood Oxygen Monitor.

Apple Watch Series 6 (with Gps) starts at 439 euros, while the Gps + Cellular version starts at 539 euros. Apple Watch SE (with Gps) is priced from 309 euros, while the Gps + Cellular version starts at 359 euros. Both can be ordered starting today on apple.com and will be available on Friday, September 18.

Additionally, the watchOS 7 operating system features “Family Settings,” sleep monitoring, automatic handwash detection, new types of training, and the ability to select and share watch faces.

IPad
Space, therefore, as planned, for the new iPads. Starting since8th generation iPad, the entry-level version of Apple’s popular tablet, now featuring an A12 Bionic chip, making it extremely fast and efficient with a 40% faster CPU and twice the graphics capacity. Compatible with Apple Pencil, the “magic pen” with which you can write, draw and interact (sold separately for 99 euros), and with the Smart Keyboard (179 euros) it has a starting price of 389 euros just for the Wi-fi version and 529 euros for Wi-fi + Cellular. It will be available, in 32 and 128 gig configurations, starting Friday.

But it’s in the new Ipad air that Apple wanted to assemble the best of its technology, with the powerful A14 Bionic chip, full-screen design with a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display and a new Touch ID sensor built into the top button. Obviously, Apple-style, you pay for quality: the iPad Air, which hits stores in October, costs from 669 euros (the Wi-Fi-only version) to 809 euros for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
