They enter the classroom at 8 in the morning, but at 8.30 they are already in quarantine. It happened in the primary school of the municipality of Fosdinovo, in the province of Massa Carrara. A girl received the existence of the anti Covid pad this morning and since it tested positive and last week he had already attended preschool lessons with his classmates, the Hygiene Office has arranged the quarantine for the whole class, 18 children and the three teachers. The girl and the rest of her family were also waiting for the results of the swabs, which were partly positive.
As the Local Health Authority later explained in a note, the girl who tested positive, enrolled in the Caniparola primary school where she had not gone this morning and who lives in another region, is asymptomatic. This morning the swab response performed as part of a family trace. Having attended ‘preschool’ last week, if only for a few hours, it was decided to take the whole class home.
The hygiene and public health structure of Lunigiana, which managed this situation together with the school staff and the mayor of Fosdinovo Camilla Bianchi, has already carried out the epidemiological investigation of all the children (4 are residents in Liguria and their colleagues will be in charge prevention of that territory) and of the 3 teachers (2 from Liguria and 1 from the Massa Carrara area). In the next few days samples will be taken from the 18 children and the 3 teachers and then the appropriate decisions will be made. “There are no measures for the other classes of the Caniparola school, since the quarantine is adopted only for the close contacts of the person (in this case the girl) who tested positive.”
