Inter transfer market, low cost operations – La Gazzetta dello Sport

After the investment in Hakimi, the parts of Viale della Liberazione have reduced purchase costs. Vidal is a clue, Kolarov proves it

Inter must sell. It is now well known. The imperative of the Nerazzurri has long been clear: first the sales, then the signings. After the investment for Hakimi at the end of June, low-cost operations are being carried out in the parts of Viale della Liberazione. Kolarov is the most striking example, the Vidal operation is another clue. While waiting to lay the layoffs, maybe hear some interesting offers and then, who knows, come back to market in force.

The trainings

But the abundance at Inter is a problem not only in the market. The Nerazzurri have returned to training under Antonio Conte for next season and the squad is large, very broad. Too much: 32 employees are available for the Salento coach. An enormity: the problem is structural, with training difficult to handle with such a large number of personnel. You have to invent something to manage all the available material. The need to downsize, in addition to helping the incoming market, is also critical when it comes to field work.

The situation

There are many players with suitcases in hand: from Vecino, who Conte does not consider functional for the project, to Dalbert; from Godin, still on the squad at the disposal of the Salento coach, to Ranocchia. Even Asamoah, a mysterious object that the club will hardly be able to place, and Joao Mario, who does not train with his teammates. To these there are “those who are suspended”: players who are not officially on the market but who, with the right offer, can leave Pinetina. There is talk of Gagliardini and Candreva, for example, that without a satisfactory proposal they will stay with Conte and play their cards. Just like Nainggolan and Perisic, who returned to Milan after the loans to Cagliari and Bayern: Inter have no intention of giving them away and Conte is working on it, but with the right offer they will leave without too much tragedy.

Even the big names

Among those suspended there are also several big names: Brozovic, Skriniar, Eriksen. Pawns on which the Nerazzurri project is based but which the club does not consider non-transferable, unlike the various ones from Vrij, Barella and Lukaku. Time passes and Inter desperately needs to sell: for cash, to feed the incoming market but also to reduce the workforce available to Conte during daily work in the field. The market is advancing and the new season is approaching: Inter cannot be caught off guard.
