PADUA – Tragedy this morning – Sunday 13 September – in Padovano in Ponso: the Radiomóvil carabinieri intervened at the house of a family of foreigners in via S. Lucia where, as a result of an accident, a one-year-old girl died and the half (not a baby as it seemed at first).
Based on the first information, it appears that the girl’s grandfather was backing up in his car and did not realize that the granddaughter was playing behind the car, a Vw passat – and overwhelmed her. She is the only daughter of a Moroccan couple who have lived in Italy for some time.
The 118 and the helicopter immediately rescued at the scene, but unfortunately there was nothing else to do.
The girl’s mother was also rushed to hospital due to an illness that affected her immediately after the tragedy.
