A great storm is raging only in these minutes Palermo and its province.
There are already several reports of flooding in the city. Real rivers of water have been generated in the southern area of the Sicilian capital. Numerous manholes were also bypassed, due to significant rainfall. In particular, the areas of viale Regione Siciliana and via Ernesto Basile are seriously affected.
As for the meteorological picture, for today the yellow alert for hydrogeological risk was issued.
At first, the Civil protection had ordered the closure of the underpasses in the area of the ring road. After verifying the existence of security conditions, it was decided to reopen them. Several municipal police cars and some AMAP workers arrived at the scene.
Extreme caution is advised to drivers.
