And then inevitably many schools are dividing classes into groups to alternate between face-to-face and online teaching – this is the case in many high schools and it is also happening in the first classes, where even the government had expressly excluded it.

However, it is happening, not only: for this first phase, linked to the difficulties of restarting, there are also those who adopt online in high school. But this is a temporary possibility: when the lessons start, distance education will be allowed only among “adults”, that is, among those students who can stay home alone and who, in front of a digital lesson, manage to follow. And many schools are preparing in this way, in the worst case, in view of a possible new blockage and to cope with daily life: in this way, many schools try to “speed up” the overcrowded classes and shorten the time . school, to avoid spending too many hours in presence.

Obviously everything must be regulated not only by the guidelines but also by the individual schools: “We have the guidelines that allow integrated digital teaching in secondary schools – explains Mario rusconi, president of the National Association of Directors of Lazio – but the school council and teaching staff must decide at the individual school: this is a typical issue that concerns the organization and training phase. However, I want to say that in these cases a careful training of teachers and students is necessary, specific controls are needed on the connection and availability of suitable devices. In this first phase, however, all schools must provide a plan for integrated digital learning, including nursery and primary schools. The national president of the PNA explains, Antonello Giannelli: “It is part of the emergency phase that we are experiencing and it could also return to the smallest, if necessary: unfortunately, the virus will determine what will happen in the coming months.”

The Piedmont Region also goes its own way, where President Cirio has foreseen the need to present a self-certification, at the entrance of the school, on the measurement of fever: without self-certification, the temperature will be measured in the school.
