Almost 50% of the school staff, equivalent to some 500 thousand teachers and non-teachers, performed the serological test for Covid 19 and of these 2.6%, that is, about 13 thousand people, tested positive and will not enter service until the swab fails.
These are the data from the office of the commissioner for emergency Domenico Arcuri, which had started the campaign in recent weeks with the distribution of 2 million tests to schools. The data was released by Tg1.
Lombardy was yesterday the region with the highest number of tests carried out (70%). In last place was Sardinia with only 5% of the workforce that underwent the tests. By September 24, the Commissioner’s Office expects the percentage to increase to 60-70%.
