BARI – The second wave of coronavirus infections continues in Puglia: today 3,916 tests were registered and 70 positive cases were registered: 32 in the province of Bari, 1 in the province of Brindisi; 5 in the province of BAT, 13 in the province of Foggia, 1 in the province of Lecce, 17 in the province of Taranto, 1 outside the region.
Of the 17 cases of Covid attributed to the province of Taranto, some are attributable to the outbreak of the Polignano a Mare company; other cases are related to the RSA outbreak in Ginosa Marina.
Three dead: 2 in the province of Bari, 1 in the province of Taranto. Since the beginning of the emergency, 339,446 tests have been performed, while 4,169 patients have recovered. There are currently 1,470 positive cases.
The total number of positive Covid cases in Puglia is 6,209, divided as follows: 2,305 in the province of Bari; 503 in the province of Bat; 727 in the province of Brindisi; 1,476 in the province of Foggia; 710 in the province of Lecce; 435 in the province of Taranto; 52 attributed to residents outside the region; 1 province of unknown residence. The APL prevention departments have activated all the procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.
«In the last 24 hours we have registered 32 new positives in Sars-Cov2. Today’s positivity refers in particular to 27 close contacts linked to cases already isolated and under surveillance, 1 return from Sardinia and 4 cases under investigation ”, explains the director of ASL Bari, Antonio Sanguedolce.
“In Brindisi – underlines the DG Giuseppe Pasqualone – the only positive registered today was identified through contact tracing, since it is related to a previous case”. “5 cases registered today in Bat province: 2 are hospitalized, 1 is a close contact of a positive person registered in the last days, 1 returned from Romania and the epidemiological investigations of the Department of Prevention are still ongoing on a last case ”Said Alessandro Delle Donne.
«In the last 24 hours in the province of Foggia there have been 13 new cases of people positive for COVID 19 – says the CEO of Asl Foggia, Vito Piazzolla – of these 5 are contacts of already known cases; 4 are foreign citizens present in the provincial territory; 4 are the symptomatic people identified thanks to the reports of general practitioners. Active surveillance and verification of close contacts by our services began immediately ”.
“The only case registered today by the Prevention Department is a close contact of an already known case, which resides in the province of Lecce,” says Rollo de Lecce ASL.
