Florence, September 10, 2020 – In Tuscany there are 12,738 cases of positivity for Coronavirus, 92 more than yesterday (32 identified during follow-up and 60 from screening activities). New cases are 0.7% more than the total of the previous day. The average age of 92 cases today is approximately 38 years (34% are under 26, 21% between 26 and 40, 35% between 41 and 65, 10% are over 65) and, in As for the clinical states, 64% were asymptomatic, 23% pauci-symptomatic. Of the 92 positive cases today, 15 cases can be linked to returns from abroad.

In total, 2,127 people are isolated at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital care or do not have symptoms (66 more than yesterday, 3.2% more). There are 3,983 (81 less than yesterday, less 2%) people, also isolated, under active surveillance for having had contact with infected people (Asl Centro 1,591, Northwest 1,651, Southeast 741).
Hospitalizations
The people admitted to beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 87 (7 more than yesterday, plus 8.8%), 13 in intensive care (2 more than yesterday, plus 18.2%). In total, there are 9,377 people cured (19 more than yesterday, plus 0.2%): 186 people clinically cured (6 less than yesterday, less 3.1%), that is, they were asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with Infection and 9,191 (25 more than yesterday, plus 0.3%) declared cured in all aspects, the so-called viral cures, with double negative swab. Tuscany’s crude death rate (number of deaths / resident population) for Covid-19 is 30.8 x 100,000 residents against 58.9 x 100,000 for the Italian average (11th region). Regarding the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (90.3 x100,000), Florence (41.3 x100,000) and Lucca (38.2 x100,000), the lowest in Grosseto (11.3 x 100,000).
