Two reports of 3,000 euros each to Almar and Brasilia. Owner Boccato: “Standards light years from reality”
JESOLO
Spritz, how much does it cost me. All’Almar, 5 stars in Lido di Jesolo, very expensive. Especially for the owner, the manager of the HnH Hospitality chain Luca Boccato, who manages hotels throughout Italy. In two of its in Jesolo, the Port Authority found irregularities in the administration of the beach, an innovative service that this year took off in the post-Covid era, although still experimental and subject to change. Actually, there are two minutes after the checks. One for Almar and one for Brasilia, another hotel in the group: two penalties of 3,000 euros each. “Both minutes,” he explains, “criticize our hotels for not complying with health regulations. The fries that came with the spritz were open and unwrapped.
Boccato had already discussed the fines during the administration service on the beach after the first sanction in the Almar. “Once again,” says Boccato, CEO of the management company HNH Hospitality, “who manages us writes inapplicable rules and light years away from the best practices in the market. In a 5-star hotel, we must take the spritzes to the beach with a closed bag of chips. Impossible to make it understood by the guest. I don’t understand the logic ”, he adds,“ in the heat of the Covid emergency we have rightly allowed Jesolo restaurants to expand their positions. I am not aware that packaged food and drinks are served under the maritime pines of via Bafile. Why? Seagull poop is dangerous, pigeon poop, right? Even less do we understand the prohibition of hotels picking up guest orders with their staff, the customer has to get out of bed and go to the hotel to place the order. If Jesolo wants to stay ahead of his offering, he must aim high, not impose unnecessary restrictions that do not guarantee the guest but make the service ridiculous and inappropriate. –
