Hundreds of people have participated this afternoon (September 9) in the funeral of Davide and Francesco Gennero, the two Cavallermaggiore brothers who died in the silos of the family farm, in the farmhouse of the Madonna del Pilone village. The funeral, officiated by Don Beppe Brunato, took place in the courtyard of the Gennero family farmhouse, at the request of the family, who wanted to hug their two children for the last time at home.
During the religious function, Father Claudio Gennero also took the floor and wanted to thank all those who in recent days have joined in the pain of the family: «We are overwhelmed by pain, but in these six days the Faith has supported us. We have always tried to be a family united by love, and today it is painful to say hello to Davide and Francesco. But the memory of how much we have loved each other in recent years will remain. For this reason, Claudio Gennero wanted to make an appeal to the many young people present, inviting them to live a quiet life, made of faith and love.
The Gennero family received words of condolences from Archbishop Cesare Nosiglia, who sent a letter on the occasion of the funeral. After the religious function, there was a private burial in the small cemetery of Madonna del Pilone.
