Berlusconi calls the Forza Italia senators from the hospital, then the intervention in a meeting: “I fight against this infernal disease”

From his hospital bed in San Raffaele, Silvio Berlusconi speaks again while still in treatment after testing positive for coronavirus. He did this first by speaking on the phone during a meeting of the Group of Italian Senators and then publicly during a meeting choice of Go Italy in Val d’Aosta congratulate the center-right candidates who are standing in the upcoming regional elections.

“I’m struggling to get out of this hellish disease, that’s too bad. Here in San Raffaele they have done thousands of exams and I am the result in the top five because of the strength of the virus. I’m doing my best and I really hope to do it and be able to get back on track ”, were some of the leader’s words. Who then wanted to spur the representatives of Valle d’Aosta: “We have so much to work, so many battles to do so that our children, our grandchildren can truly live in a just country, in welfare and justice,” he added, with a weak voice, before to thank Emily Rini, coordinator of Forza Italia in the Aosta Valley, defined as “the best of the people that we have at this moment working to try to make Italians know the need to attend the next regional votes”.

Finally, he called for the greatest possible participation in the electoral colleges, citing Plato: “We must let Italians know the need to go to the vote. The uncertainty about the number of voters is great. And so it is worth reminding all the undecided of a warning from Plato that he told those who did not want to vote for the government of Athens. ‘Anyone who doesn’t vote deserves a government of dangerous incapable‘”.

However, during the phone call with the forced senators, the former prime minister’s attention was focused on Recovery Fund. Speaking with the chairman of the parliamentary group in the Senate, Anna Maria Bernini, reassured about his state of health and then confronted those present about the need to present an articulated plan of reforms that encourages the government in the Recovery Fund, as we learn from a note from the party.
