The Abruzzo scientific technical committee, meeting in videoconference, proposed the anti-coronavirus measures to the regional council this morning. Specifically, the working hypothesis of the commission, which also includes the provincial ASL, speaks of mandatory masks 24/24 even in open places, the early closure of shops and clubs and the prohibition of sporting events and any other types of events, which provoke unavoidable meetings. The indications of the body headed by the regional head of the Sanitary Emergency, Alberto Albani, assisted by the director of the Department of Health, Claudio D’Amario, could become normative in the next few hours. The affected municipalities will be Sulmona, Bugnara, Introdacqua, Pettorano sul Gizio and Pratola Peligna. In recent weeks, the interior of Abruzzo, in particular the province of L’Aquila, has registered record infections compared to coastal areas, which were heavily affected during the first wave of the virus, with some two hundred people testing positive.
