Another 249 infected in Campania, 31 more than yesterday but with 3,638 more smears performed. This is the result of the bulletin of the last 24 hours issued by the regional crisis unit: of 7,900 tests, therefore, 249 were positive with 20 cases of return from Sardinia, 25 cases of return from abroad and another 16 cases of contacts close to previous cases of return.
More generally, the total number of positives increases to 8,377 out of 467,131 swabs performed, while the number of victims remains at 448. On the other hand, the number of recovered patients increases, from 4,490 to 4,514: of these, 4,509 are totally cured and 5 clinically cured, where only clinically cured patients are considered who, after presenting clinical manifestations associated with Sars-Cov-2 infection, become asymptomatic for the resolution of the presented clinical symptoms but are still waiting for both consecutive smears showing complete recovery.
With this cycle of swabs, warns the Campania crisis unit, overdue swabs linked to returns from abroad and from other regions should be considered exhausted. “This concludes the filtering phase of the security and prevention plan implemented by Campania, the only region in Italy that since August 12 has made detection mandatory for those who return.”
