The law and the reverse journalist (Rete4) Francesco Selvi reported being attacked by Beppe Grillo on the beach of Marina di Bibbona (Livorno). “This morning around 10,” he said, “I met him in a bathhouse. I was in the area to do a shoot. After qualifying, I asked Mr. Grillo some political questions with my cell phone on. Grillo first tried to take my cell phone from me, then after spraying me with sanitizing liquid, he pushed me hard, making me fall from a ladder that connects the factory with the beach ”. Selvi later said that he was forced to go to the emergency room, where he was informed “5 days forecast for a sprained knee injury“.

The incident was announced by Sandro Bennucci, president of the Tuscan Press Association (Ast), in agreement with the National Federation of Italian Press (Fnsi). “Ast’s governing bodies are united in solidarity and indignation with their colleague,” Bennucci wrote in a note. The Tuscan Press Association and the Fnsi, the note continues, “join the indignation with a firm protest: it is not tolerable that a person directly or indirectly involved in politics, therefore a public man in all aspects, reacts violently to a journalist who only practices his profession ”. Ast and Fnsi also addressed “a heartfelt appeal to the institutions to protect those who work in the information sector, since they are forced to register, for the umpteenth time in a few months, the attack on a journalist in Tuscany.”

we need you.

In these weeks of pandemic, journalists, if we do our job conscientiously, we do a public service. Also for this reason, every day here at ilfattoquotidiano.it we are proud to offer hundreds of new content for free to all citizens: news, exclusive insights, interviews with experts, surveys, videos and much more. All this work, however, comes at great financial cost. Advertising, at a time when the economy is stagnant, offers limited income. Not in line with the access boom. That is why I ask those who read these lines to support us. Give us a minimum contribution, equal to the price of a cappuccino per week, which is essential for our work.
