Coronavirus, the data: 1,108 new infections and 12 deaths. Tampons fall: 25 thousand less than yesterday

Coronavirus cases in Italy continue to decline: 1,108 infections recorded in the last 24 hours, while yesterday they were 1,297. But the number of swabs performed also drops dramatically: 52,553, 25 thousand less than yesterday, when there were around 76,856. Victims increase: 12 more from yesterday, when 7 were registered. According to data released by the Ministry of Health, there are currently 278,784 cases in total, 35,553 deaths. The positives currently increase by 915 units, reaching an altitude of 32,993. There are 223 more discharged and healed, which is now 210,238.

We carefully analyze the hospital situation, necessary to understand the health system: 9 patients with coronavirus intensive care in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 142. Patients with symptoms now 1,719 (+36), people in isolation at home instead 31,132 (+870). The only region without new positives is there. Aosta Valley, as the autonomous province of Bolzano, while the highest increase in cases is registered in Campania with 218 new cases. Second the Lazio with 159, then theEmilia romagna 132 and the Lombardy with 109.

Given the constantly evolving epidemiological situation, the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza confirmed the expansion of all containment measures in force to date, from masks to distances: “In the Dpcm that we will sign today all the rules are upheld, even those relating to dancing. They just spread. They are effective as of August 16 and we will extend them for another 30 days ”.

Lombardy – With 9,088 swabs performed, there are 109 new positive cases in Lombardy and the relationship between the swabs performed and the positives found is 1.19%, compared to 1.63% recorded yesterday. There are 6 deaths for a total of 16,886 deaths in the region. There is one more hospitalization in intensive care (26 in total), while the number of beds occupied in the other wards is decreasing (-6, 242). There are no infections in Como, Mantua and Sondrio, while Milan remains the most affected province with 47 cases, of which 27 in the city of Milan, followed by Monza and Brianza (19), Brescia (14) and Bergamo (12).

Lazio – The data released by the Councilor for Health Alessio D’Amato speak of 10mila buffers, of which there are 159 cases, of which 119 only in Rome, and zero deaths.
