A judicial investigation hits the regional elections in Campania. Vincenzo De Luca In fact, he would be investigated by the Naples prosecutor for having favored his four drivers. The events date back to three years ago, when, after a traffic accident, the conclusions of the Neapolitan judges were triggered. An investigation remained hidden until today when Conchita Sannino brought it up Republic revealing, among other things, that the governor was questioned a few months ago, just before Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte put the country in emergency shutdown, “in the prosecutor’s offices”. The crime charges you have to answer would be “fake and scam”.
The traffic accident in 2017
The accusations of the prosecutor Ida Frongillo, coordinated by the deputy prosecutor Vincenzo Piscitelli, would refer to the transfer and, therefore, to the contract of four drivers. It would be the four “historical” conductors that, reconstructed today from Republic, De Luca would have moved from Salerno, where he was mayor for twenty years, to Naples, where he is currently president of the Region, through various decrees that would have framed them in roles of “employees or directors of the president’s secretariat”. Putting the focus of the researchers’ attention on this situation and, therefore, triggering the investigations would have been a car crash which took place on September 15, 2017 in via Lanzalone, in the Carmine district of Salerno. A heavy collision with a young woman on a scooter that had sparked an unprecedented political fight. “We have always denounced that this president who believes himself above the law is a danger to Campania”, had denounced the grillini in those days accusing the governor of taking the wrong path. “Those who represent the institutions must be an impeccable example of respect for legality. And instead, in Campania we are governed by those who constantly put the law and the institutions under their feet”.
Investigations on drivers
“I was with a friend of mine, when suddenly I found a car on my scooter”he had told the 22-year-old after the accident. “He took me sideways … I found myself on the ground. So I don’t remember everything well.”. The people, crowding around her, kept shouting: “Don’t move it, don’t move it!”. “I was terrified and I was crying bitterly – she revealed – I thought she had really hurt me”. Fortunately, he only got away with a few “punches”. The incident, however, did not go unnoticed. At the first accusations of having entered against traffic, it was replied that the police can perform certain maneuvers. But soon the finger pointed at the driver who was driving the car. He was not a simple driver, but one of the four who worked in Salerno and who, when he was elected president of the Campania region, De Luca would have decided to move to Naples as “members of the institutional relations staff”. A “trick” that, while rebuilding Republic, would have allowed the four of them to raise the stupendous “with a gross annual endowment of 4,600 euros” even if none of them were eligible for it.
