Of Cape Verdean origin, Willy lived with his family in Paliano, in the province of Frosinone. The dynamics of the beating is still unclear, as if at dawn on Sunday the child was involved in a riot between two groups of young people in Piazza Italia, also in the center of the town.

It also intervenes the mayor of Colleferro, Pierluigi Sanna: We are shocked, we are citizens of good people and we are not used to episodes of this type. In fact, after this tragedy, there is a different air in the city. The fight, among other things, was between boys from Artena and Paliano. There were no young men from Colleferro. Nobody wants to blow up a drama like this. And so the first citizen of Paliano, Domenico Alfieri: Upset and despair. This is what our city is feeling right now about the loss of our Willy. A beautiful boy who found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. The whole city of Paliano gathers around the family and shares their immense pain.
