At the end comes the official status: in Campania the return to school will not be on September 14 but after the elections and the referendum. This was declared live by the governor of Campano, Vincenzo De Luca, from Vallo della Lucania on Facebook.
In recent days the hypothesis that in the last hours it has become certainty was already feared: “Under current conditions, on Monday we formalized the postponement of the opening of the school year. The government and all political forces should apologize because everyone except me agreed to make the opening of the school year coincide with the regional vote and the referendum. An act of madness, Campania is the only one who had said no“.
“This is not a serious country – he added – but an equestrian circus. The opening of schools, the opening of polling stations and the start of the football championship were concentrated in one week. There are no words for the level of amateurism we have encountered in recent months. “
The other regions?
Still only Abruzzo had already approved the postponement of back to school until September 24, but there are many Regions that are thinking about it: there are the institutions identified as polling stations that in some regions may decide whether to reopen the 14 and close for elections and resume on September 24.
In that case there could be the problem of double sanitation, as we have previously reported.
In Sicily, for example, on the one hand Governor Musumeci reiterated the date of 14, but at the same time the commissioner Lagalla put forward the hypothesis of suspending the lessons for electoral operations and then reopening them, with an evident increase in costs due to the need to sanitize the environments twice. This applies to polling stations, specifies the commissioner, others, however, can request it, deciding in total autonomy: “In light of the special needs that may arise in the schools, all other institutions that deem it necessary to postpone the departure of lessons to that date will also be authorized.”.
In short, the return to classes could also slip in other cases, also because the problems are not related only to the polling stations, as we have been able to write previously.
