In Tuscany there are 12,179 cases of positivity of Coronavirus, 99 more than yesterday (25 identified in the course of tracking and 74 from detection activities). New cases are 0.8% more than the total of the previous day. The average age of 99 cases at present is approximately 38 years (32% are under 26, 23% between 26 and 40, 38% between 41 and 65, 7% are over 65) and, as for the states clinicians, 70% were asymptomatic, 21% pauci-symptomatic. 0.1% cured growth and reach 9,219 (75.7% of all cases). The swabs performed reached 567,766, 7,730 more than yesterday. Current positives are 1,817 today, + 5% compared to yesterday. Today there are no new deaths.
These are the data – verified at 12 noon today based on requests from the National Civil Protection – relative to the progress of the epidemic in the region.
The following are the cases of positivity in the area with the change compared to yesterday. There are 3,742 total cases to date in Florence (22 more than yesterday), 652 in Prato (11 more), 851 in Pistoia (2 more), 1,274 in Massa (10 more), 1,559 in Lucca (8 more), 1,095 in Pisa (12 more), 579 in Livorno (9 more), 874 in Arezzo (8 more), 519 in Siena (2 more), 509 in Grosseto (10 more). There are 525 positive cases reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions (5 more). Thus, there are 35 cases found today in central ASL, 39 in the northwest, 20 in the southeast.
Tuscany is confirmed in tenth place in Italy in terms of the number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with around 327 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (Italian average around 452 x 100,000, yesterday’s figure). The notification provinces with the highest rate are Massa Carrara with 654 cases x 100,000 inhabitants, Lucca with 402, Florence with 370, Livorno the lowest with 173.
Usually, 1,742 people are isolated at home, for having mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are asymptomatic (81 more than yesterday, plus 4.9%). There are 4,189 (70 more than yesterday, plus 1.7%) people, also isolated, under active surveillance, for having had contact with infected people (Asl Centro 1,736, Noroeste 1,587, Sureste 866).
The people hospitalized in the beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 75 (5 more than yesterday, plus 7.1%), 8 in intensive care (1 more than yesterday, plus 14.3%).
In total, there are 9,219 people cured (13 more than yesterday, more 0.1%): 172 clinically cured people (6 less than yesterday, less 3.4%), that is, they became asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with Infection and 9,047 ( 19 more than yesterday, plus 0.2%) declared cured in all aspects, the so-called viral cures, with double negative swab.
Today there are no new deaths. Therefore, there are 1,143 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic divided as follows: 418 in Florence, 52 in Prato, 81 in Pistoia, 175 in Massa Carrara, 147 in Lucca, 91 in Pisa, 63 in Livorno, 50 in Arezzo , 33 in Siena, 25 in Grosseto, 8 people died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
