Time September 7-21. Cool and rainy weather starting next week

Autumn started off on the left foot. In fact, it is still summer heat in most of Italy as cool and rainy Atlantic disturbances continue to desert the peninsula.

But the physical-mathematical models have perceived a change of course during the next week.

Below are the average weekly forecasts for 7-13 September and 14-20 September (ENSemble average of around 700 separate forecasts) from the European Meteorological Center

Week 7-13 September. The rains come, temperatures below 30 ° C on weekends

In the vicinity of Italy, between September 7 and 8, a first Atlantic disturbance will generate a low pressure vortex that will then be fed, between September 11 and 13, by a second disturbance.

It rains between September 7 and 8 in the north and then, between September 9 and 10, also in Sardinia. Between 11 and 13, the second disturbance will continue to bring pogge especially to the north, the Tyrrhenian and Sardinian regions.

The following image shows the accumulated rains during the week. As you can see, heavy rains (500-100mm) are expected in the north, Tuscany and Sardinia

The low-pressure vortex will push cool Atlantic currents, especially over northern Italy, Tuscany and Sardinia, where maximum temperatures will drop below 30 degrees. The rest of the center and south, on the other hand, will continue to be hot with highs around 30-32 in the center and 32-34 in the south. the highs will fall below 30 degrees in most of Italy.

Week September 14-20. Cool and rainy weather

Throughout the week, Italy should be affected by the disturbed currents of the Atlantic, which will not only keep the anticyclones away, but will bring a typically autumn weather (see second image)

Temperatures drop even further in Centronord and Sardinia, where maximum temperatures should not exceed 25-26 degrees. Falling temperatures also in the South with maximum values ​​in the norm around 27-28 degrees.
