PESARO – Tragic accident in the late morning on the A14 Bologna-Taranto motorway, near the territory of the municipality of Pesaro. Two people whose personal data have not yet been disclosed lost their lives at the entrance to the “Foglia est” service area, in the north lane on the section between Fano and Pesaro towards Bologna, in correspondence with the deceleration lane. The accident involved a car that, according to initial investigations, was about to enter the service area when it violently collided with the “top” of the guardrail that should generally serve as protection.
The alarm went off around 12:30. Medical and mechanical rescuers, firefighters, traffic police patrols and personnel from Section 7 of Pescara Autostrade per l’Italia took part in the scene. The service area is temporarily closed to allow the intervention of the rescue service, while circulation is regular throughout the section.
The victims of the crash against the railing are residents of Lodi.
