There are 78 new cases of coronavirus in Sicily. An increase compared to the last two days both in absolute number and in percentage of swabs performed, which in the last 24 hours were 4,241: therefore, 1.83% was positive. To find such numbers, you must go back to the beginning of April. However, the situation in hospitals is decidedly different from then: at the moment there are 87 people hospitalized (+6 compared to yesterday) plus 11 in intensive care (-1). Situation low against itself, even in constant increase, so much so that in Palermo it was decided to reopen the operative unit in the Brain dedicated to Covid, in addition to the places in infectious diseases and in intensive care.
Two positive employees, Noto clinic closed
According to the bulletin of the Ministry of Health there are no new deaths and 46 are also recovered on the island. The current positives are, therefore, 1,284, of which 1,186 in home isolation. Regarding the provinces, however, the one that registers the most cases is Catania (21), followed by Messina and Agrigento (12), Palermo (10), Ragusa and Trapani (9), Siracusa (3) and Enna (2) .
The situation in the rest of Italy
The coronavirus epidemic in Italy: 1,733 new cases in the last 24 hours. This is the figure released by the Ministry of Health. Since yesterday, 11 deaths have been registered, bringing the total to 35,518 since the beginning of the emergency. The healed have increased by 537 and in total there are 209,027. There are 1,607 hospitalized patients, 121 patients in intensive care. In the last week the number of new cases per day has been many times higher than a thousand: yesterday the infections had been 1,397, with ten deaths.
An increase in cases that, however, has gone hand in hand with the increase in swabs carried out in recent days. Meanwhile, the conditions of Silvio Berlusconi, who tested positive for coronavirus and are cause for concern admitted to San Raffaele hospital with bilateral pneumonia.
