The Nocera Inferiore carabinieri, who were already investigating the woman’s disappearance, are passionately pursuing the trail, and in the early hours of the morning they took a man suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder to the barracks. However, the identity of the detained person has so far been kept strictly confidential.

Disappeared in july

Originally from Sarno but a resident of San Valentino Torio, Luana Rainone was 31 years old, married and the mother of a child. There had been no news from her since July 23, when she left home to run errands and never returned. Her husband denounced her disappearance to the carabinieri and since then the relatives had launched repeated appeals for help in searching for the woman. In recent weeks, investigations had likely already taken a precise lead, and thus the discovery of the body prompted investigators to immediately arrest the man the suspects had targeted.
