Salvini and the photo with Baldassari, far-right leader: it is controversial

Politics feeds on images at the time of social networks. So it happens that between good morning and a good appetite seasoned with food and wine selfies, Matteo Salvini shakes hands and embraces even at rallies. At the end of what the former Interior Minister did in Roncadelle on Wednesday, September 2, in support of the mayoral candidate Elisa Regosa, a photo was taken that sparked a new controversy. Matteo Salvini posing, arm in arm with the shoulder of Massimiliano Chicco Baldassari, one of the leaders of the north curve of Brescia and candidate for the municipal elections of Acción Social. The shot in the same hours in which Salvini said from the stage: There are no fascists in the square here, only Italians. However, the Italian Baldassari fills his social profiles with Roman greetings and close-ups of his tattoos, among which ACAB (All Cops are Bastard) stands out. Social reactions were not long in coming. But what a good former Minister of the Interior, – we read in the comments – with the mask with the carabinieri symbol, who takes a nice photo with someone who has a tattoo on his neck that are all policemen … 2018 Baldassarri is a candidate for administrative in Brescia with Acción Social. And in early June he was in Rome at the far-right demonstration organized in the capital.
