Mother kills 5 children and tries to commit suicide, horror in Germany

Horror in Germany. A 27-year-old woman is suspected of killing five of her six children and then attempting to commit suicide by throwing herself on the platforms at Duesseldorf station and was seriously injured. The victims are three year and a half girls, two and three year old girls and two six and eight year old boys and their bodies were found in an apartment in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia.

The only survivor of the tragedy is the eleven-year-old son, who was with his mother when the woman threw herself onto the tracks when a train arrived shortly before 2 in the afternoon.

The children’s grandmother contacted the police and informed them of the incident. The officers went to an apartment in the Hassedelle district of Solingen in North Rhine Westphalia, where they made the grisly discovery. At the moment, no details have been released about the deaths of the children. The woman was hospitalized and is in police custody.

“We don’t know exactly what happened, when or why, it is a very tragic situation,” said police spokesman Stefan Weiand, making it clear that the woman is in no condition to be questioned.
