There are 1,397 new coronavirus infections in Italy, compared to a series of swabs that remain high (92,790) but lower than the previous day’s record (102,959 tests). Ten dead, 11 more hospitalizations in intensive care. This is the image that emerges from the bulletin of the Ministry of Health of September 3. The number of patients admitted to intensive care has remained relatively low for weeks, although for the seventh consecutive day it is increasing and has exceeded 100: to date there are 120 (+11). However, even in intensive care, the very different trend is confirmed compared to the previous months. If we look at the percentage of positives admitted to this room on April 4, it was 4.5%, while on September 3 the percentage was 0.41%. It should also be remembered that, in recent days, the average age of the newly infected has dropped (29 years, according to the ISS) and many are asymptomatic (LIVE UPDATES – THE SPECIAL).

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 272,912 people have tested positive for coronavirus in our country, including recovered and deceased. The victims, in total, are 35,507. The cured, in the last 24 hours, are 289, for a total of 208,490. The patients with symptoms are 1,505 (+68). In contrast, 27,290 people are in home isolation (+1,019). There are a total of 8,921,658 swabs, an increase of 92,790 compared to September 2. The cases evaluated are 5,342,150 so far, net of how many swabs have been done. Among the newsletter notes we read that the Calabria Region reports that of the 13 positives today, two are migrants.
