Coronavirus, 18 new cases in Bergamo Lombardy: 14,077 swabs, 228 positive

Against 14,077 smears performed, 228 new positives were found in Lombardy, of which 41 were “weakly positive” and 12 after serological tests (- 9 compared to yesterday). The ratio between the number of new swabs and the positive ones found is 1.61%. One person died, bringing the total number of victims to 16,870. This was announced by the Lombardy Region in the daily report on the coronavirus. There are 60 recovered / discharged, for a total of 76,467. The number of people admitted to intensive care (+5) rises to 27 and 225 the number of people who are not in intensive care (+5). Regarding the provinces, 80 cases occurred in Milan (of which 50 in the city), 18 in Bergamo: 37 in Brescia, 13 in Como, 7 in Cremona, 7 in Lecco, 8 in Lodi, 2 in Mantua, 21 in Monza, 12 in Pavia and 13 in Varese. No cases were registered in the province of Sondrio. “We recall – explains the Region in the note accompanying the report – that the increase in positive cases, in Lombardy as in other regions, must always be related to the number of swabs performed. Without ever forgetting that, if we think in terms of absolute comparisons, the number of inhabitants of Lombardy is equal to 1/6 of the national population.
