On the afternoon of September 2, by delegation of the District Attorney of the Republic – District Anti-Mafia Directorate, the State Police and the Arma dei Carabinieri de Siracusa carried out an order for the application of precautionary measures issued by the Gip of the Court of Catania against twenty-seven people belonging to two criminal associations that operate in Syracuse, responsible, for various reasons, for a criminal association directed at drug trafficking.
Some of them were also charged with the crime of extortion aggravated by the use of the mafia method. For twenty-five suspects, preventive detention in prison was ordered, for another two the precautionary measure of house arrest was applied.
The persons against whom the precautionary measure was carried out are:

Preventive detention in prison was ordered for all the subjects, with the exception of AIMONE Manolito and URBINO Danny, for whom the precautionary measure of house arrest was ordered.
