Flavia Godinho Mafra was 24 years old and pregnant. She had been invited by a former schoolmate to a baby shower a small party for the imminent birth of her baby, but the party she thought she was throwing in her honor turned out to be a trap that cost him his life. It happened to Canelinha, in the state of Santa Catarina in Brazil. The body was found at 9 am on August 28 by the victim’s mother and her husband.

To make the crime even more disturbing were the conditions of the young mother’s body: the open womb with a clean cut, the fetus ripped from the womb. The horrific murder was committed by a former schoolmate, obsessed with children after she suffered a miscarriage in early 2020. The detective in charge of the case, Paulo Alexandre Freyesleben y Silva, confirmed that the causes of death were the stabbing in the abdomen and the blows inflicted with a brick.

But no one had been able to find the girl’s body. In fact, the girl had been brought Hospital by his mother’s former friend and her partner, both detained by the police. According to NSC Total, the newborn is admitted to the hospital in Florianopolis. Here she was given antibiotics and pain relievers for her wounds after the brutal separation of her mother’s uterus, but she is currently in good health.

Flavia and her husband led the normal life of a loving couple: they had recently married, but had been engaged for almost ten years. He had studied pedagogy and worked as a substitute teacher in a school. His body, found in an abandoned pottery deposit in the Galera neighborhood, was buried in the Municipal Cemetery of Canelinha after a brief and very intimate funeral. In these hours there have been many social pages born in Brazil to seek justice for the 24-year-old young mother.
