Abbadia, found Fatou’s body: he was identified with a robot – Chronicle

Abbadia Lariana (Lecco), September 1, 2020 – Fatou was he found. In the early afternoon today, the divers of the firefighters identified and recovered the body of the 12-year-old boy from Gambia di Monza who drowned last Thursday in the waters of Lake of como on the stretch in front of Poncia de Abbadia Lariana.

The girl’s body was identified thanks to the use of an underwater robot with which it was also returned to the surface. It was several meters deep and not very close to shore, carried by the current and to the bottom by its own weight. Rescuers worked incessantly for six days and five nights, despite the darkness and bad weather, to find and fish for Fatou’s body and return at least one coffin to hug and cry to the parents.
