There are 83 new cases of coronavirus in Sicily in the last 24 hours: well 50 more than yesterday. This is what the newsletter of the Ministry of Health reports. Twenty-six are migrants (16 from the Agrigento reception center, one in Trapani and nine from Lampedusa)
There are currently 1,152 positives of which 76 are hospitalized (+5), 12 in intensive care (+2) and 1139 in home isolation, for a total of 4443 cases since the start of the epidemic. The healed amount to 2,919 (+8). Record of swabs in a single day: 5,627, the highest number ever achieved.
There would also be a second victim within 24 hours and always in Syracuse, a 66-year-old woman from Avola (who died in Ragusa), which would lead to deaths to 288, but in the bulletin the number always stops at 287, so it was not officially reported by the Region.
In the provinces there are 17 cases in Agrigento of which 16 migrants, 13 in Catania, 21 in Messina, 19 in Palermo of which 9 migrants, 2 in Ragusa, 2 in Syracuse, 9 in Trapani of which one migrant.
Coronavirus infections go back: in the last 24 hours they were 1,326 (yesterday 978). You are the victims, two less than yesterday. These are the figures from the Ministry of Health. Also in Italy there is a registry of tampons processed since the beginning of the pandemic. Yesterday 102,959 were carried out for a total of 8,828,868. On July 29, 99,108 had been carried out.
